Your leadership role as executive director is to design, develop and implement strategic plans including the mission and vision for the organization in a manner that is both cost and time-efficient. You are the leader of the executive (management) committee, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the organization, which includes participation in all management committees as well as developing and professionalizing the business and plans in collaboration with the board and the entire team. The board is one-tier and grants you as executive director the authority to run the organization with your management team. Holding accountable to the chairman of the board of directors and reports to the board on a regular, monthly basis. The board may offer suggestions and ideas about how to improve the organization, but as executive director you decide whether or not, and how, to implement these ideas and suggestions. Chasing opportunities and assessing risks, ensuring they are monitored and minimized. You fulfil a leadership role and motivate and mentor team members and staff, and may chair meetings. You co-develop the organizational culture and create an impact.
